- $15.50 per hour (training/meetings)

Overview
Byers K9 Services is hiring a K9 Security Handler for a site in Superior, Colorado. This position requires a reliable and professional individual capable of working with a K9 in an active security environment.
Weekend shifts are mandatory for this role, with additional hours available based on site needs, coverage, and special assignments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security patrols with K9
- Monitor and control access to the site
- Perform detection sweeps as required
- Complete daily activity and incident reports
- Maintain control, care, and readiness of assigned K9
- Follow all post orders and client-specific instructions
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or K9 handling preferred
- Ability to handle and work a K9 safely and effectively
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Ability to remain alert and professional during long shifts
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred (not required):
- Existing trained K9
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Familiarity with detection or patrol K9 work
Additional Information
- Weekend availability is required (Saturday/Sunday)
