Lancaster Farms is a family-owned wholesale nursery that has been growing quality flowers, shrubs, and trees since 1969. We supply professional landscapers and horticulture businesses with quality plants, mulch, stone, and other landscape materials. We're looking for a mechanic to join our shop team and help keep our fleet and equipment running smoothly.
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week (overtime available)
What You'll Do
You'll work alongside our shop runner/head mechanic, who oversees maintenance and repair for a fleet of 100+ vehicles and equipment — including trucks, tractors, tractor trailers, Kubotas, front loaders, and other heavy equipment. You'll assist with routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, and learn to service a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their mechanic career who wants hands-on experience across diverse equipment, with direct mentorship from an experienced lead mechanic.
What We're Looking For
- Entry-level to 2 years of mechanical experience (automotive, diesel, small engine, or equipment repair background all welcome)
- Strong interest in learning and growing within the mechanic trade
- Reliable, hands-on, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work on a variety of equipment types
- Valid driver's license preferred
