Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, detail-oriented MIG/TIG sheet metal welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fitup, welding, grinding and finishing of primarily thinner gauge sheet metal parts in a medium to high production volume environment. The ability to consistently perform high quality fitup and MIG/TIG welds on thin gauge sheet metal, and be responsible for a high level of quality and accuracy in all produced parts is critical to the role. This is not a junior or trainee position.

Duties
- Precisely read and follow drawings.
- Utilize hand MIG and TIG welding to join steel parts in a medium / high volume production environment.
- Responsible for your own manufacturing fitup of each part - must be precise.
- Grinding and finishing.
- Perform QAQC on all parts to ensure they meet the drawing specifications.
- Support other shop personnel various other fabrication tasks on an as-needed basis.
- Support QA personnel with Quality Checking parts fabricated by others.
- Follow all shop safety and quality standards.
- Use calipers and other measuring instruments to accurately check dimensions against drawings.
- Assist with shop cleaning and organization.
Experience
- MIG / TIG welding of thin gauge sheet metal in a medium / high volume production setting.
- Demonstrated ability to consistency manufacture parts to the measurements and tolerances outlined on fabrication drawings and to perform ongoing in-process QC.
- Ability to grind and finish parts.
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work safely around machinery and adhere to all safety guidelines in a manufacturing setting.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
