Green Earth Recycling is looking to hire a box truck driver and back up semi tractor driver. You will primarily be in our 26ft box truck, though depending on business needs may need to drive the semi tractor with trailer. Our service area is Columbus and surrounding cities. No OTR or overnights, home nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a truck to transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or manual labor (occasionally)
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure it is in good working condition
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labor as needed
