American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a 13-week travel contract at a high-volume adult Emergency Department in Massachusetts, requiring an active MA RN license and AHA-only certifications.

65-bed, pod-based Adult Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and dedicated Acute Mental Health area

High-volume unit averaging 230 patient visits per day
-
All patient populations served

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Rotating day/evening/night shifts (7a–7p, 11a–11p, and 7p–7a); rotation frequency is low
-
Every other weekend (EOW) required

36 hours per week

Floating required

EMR: Epic (ASAP module); charting experience required

Free on-site parking available at this location

Active MA RN license required; no pending or conditional licenses accepted

AHA-certified BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; all certifications must be AHA only

TNCC and NRP certifications strongly preferred

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required

Proficiency in general ED skills including assessment, documentation, IV placement, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point-of-care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education

Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted

2 professional references required for consideration

Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and will receive a reduced pay rate
