Randall Construction’s Fire Protection division is currently seeking a top-tier Fire Sprinkler Foreman to lead projects in the Sarasota, FL area and north toward the Greater Tampa area. Position Summary:
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who takes pride in delivering high-quality fire protection systems while managing field crews, schedules, and job site safety. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, leadership experience, and a commitment to excellence in customer service and workmanship.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise and lead fire sprinkler fitters and helpers on commercial and industrial projects.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project drawings.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project execution.
- Install, modify, and repair various types of fire sprinkler systems.
- Conduct daily job site safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate with senior managers, general contractors, inspectors, and customers.
- Monitor project schedules and productivity to meet deadlines and budget goals.
- Perform quality control inspections and ensure all work meets NFPA codes and local regulations.
- Assist with project planning, material takeoffs, and documentation.
- Train and mentor field personnel to promote professional development and safety awareness.
Desired Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of fire sprinkler installation experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, fire protection systems, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and hydraulic calculations.
- Experience coordinating crews on active construction sites.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft office/Excel products.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual English/Spanish a plus).
- NICET certification is a plus.
- Experience with commercial, healthcare, educational, and multifamily construction projects.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Physical Requirements:
This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
