Job Summary
Steel Plant Laborers support operations across all areas of the steel plant, including material handling, equipment operation, and product packaging. Responsibilities include executing work orders, producing and labeling finished materials, and maintaining inventory. This position requires adherence to all safety procedures and must be performed in person on-site.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on-time
- Provide excellent customer service and reflect our company’s core values at all times
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Operate machinery including roll formers, Press Brake, and forklifts
- Operate panel and trim roll forming lines
- Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing shop equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory counts of trim materials
- Operate all core equipment in the steel plant, including roll formers, Press Brake, and forklifts
- Package, label, and prepare steel products for shipment according to production specs
- Ensure product quality and adherence to plant production standards
- Work in multiple areas of the plant and adapt to changing production needs
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
-
Steel Plant and roll forming experience preferred
-
General knowledge of building materials and building processes
-
Forklift certification with 90 days of employment required provided by employer. Previous Experience preferred.

Previous experience with metal building component manufacturing is preferred

QSI provides on-the-job training

Weight & Lift Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to regularly and repeatedly lift various steel products in a production line.

Lifting anything >80lbs requires additional personnel and utilizing a dolly or forklift if possible.

Paid vacation: 84.5 hours annually, accruing each pay period after two full weeks of employment
