Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating various types of heavy equipment, including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks, to handle materials safely and accurately. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse distribution, shipping and receiving operations, and inventory management. Duties
- Safely operate forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform order picking using specialized equipment like <PERSON> pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Manage warehouse inventory through proper stacking, storage, and retrieval of goods in accordance with warehouse management system (WMS) protocols
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklifts and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance with OSHA standards
- Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, documenting discrepancies, and ensuring proper documentation
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for timely dispatch while adhering to safety guidelines for heavy lifting and materials handling
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picking procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling
- Ability to perform basic math for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation purposes
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive tasks
- Valid forklift certification preferred; prior warehouse experience highly desirable
- Basic understanding of shipping & receiving processes along with warehouse distribution practices
