Position Summary:
The Loss Prevention Auditor plays a critical role in protecting company assets by ensuring compliance with Loss Prevention policies, operational standards, and inventory control procedures. This position conducts store audits, identifies potential risks, and partners with store leadership to implement corrective actions that reduce shrink, improve compliance, and strengthen operational integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed Loss Prevention and operational audits across multiple store departments (front-end, meat, bakery, produce, warehouse, etc.).
- Identify policy violations, procedural gaps, and shrink-related issues during store visits.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive audit reports summarizing findings, photos, and corrective recommendations.
- Verify compliance with alarm procedures, security camera functionality, and perimeter controls.
- Review refunds, voids, and employee transactions for irregularities or potential theft.
- Assist with internal investigations and follow-up on LP incidents as needed.
- Provide training and coaching to store management and staff on Loss Prevention best practices.
- Support the LP team with case documentation, evidence collection, and report preparation.
- Collaborate with operations, HR, and Risk Management to ensure corrective action plans are executed.
Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in Loss Prevention, auditing, or retail compliance (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory processes, and LP procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, written communication, and observation skills.
- Ability to travel to multiple store locations as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using audit or case management software.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Schedule & Environment:
- Flexible schedule; may include occasional weekends or evenings based on audit needs.
- Primarily field-based with travel between store locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
