Position Summary
As a Water & Mold Technician, you’ll perform water mitigation, moisture mapping, equipment setup, and mold remediation tasks. You’ll work with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters to help stabilize properties after water damage or mold issues. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with plenty of overtime opportunities and a clear growth path.
What You’ll Do
- Perform water extraction, moisture mapping, and equipment setup
- Remove damaged materials such as drywall, carpet, and carpet pad
- Complete mold remediation, including containment, HEPA filtration, selective demolition, and cleaning
- Document job progress with photos, readings, and notes
- Communicate with customers and deliver a professional service experience
- Set up, monitor, rotate, and tear down drying and HEPA equipment
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency response
- Follow all safety, PPE, and IICRC-compliant procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in mitigation, mold remediation, construction, or general labor (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in crawlspaces, basements, attics, and tight spaces
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Able to pass a background check
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
