Position Summary:
The Adelson School is seeking a full-time K-2 teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating academic learning through the implementation of a dynamic curriculum. This teacher will deliver lessons to both whole and small groups, addressing individual student needs and creating a welcoming, safe environment where students feel encouraged to take risks. Collaboration with grade-level partners, specialists, and the administration will be essential in fostering student growth.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about working with young learners, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to academic and social-emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
● Instruction: Plan and implement high-quality instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, and Social Studies, tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities.
● Classroom Management: Exhibit strong classroom management skills, creating a nurturing and productive learning environment.
● Student Engagement: Foster a love of learning, independence, and personal responsibility while meeting the developmental and academic needs of students.
● Assessment: Utilize both formal and informal assessments to monitor progress, adjust instruction, and identify areas for growth.
● Collaboration: Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Communicate regularly with parents about academic progress, goals, and character development.
● Professional Development: Reflect on teaching practice, pursue professional growth opportunities, and remain open to feedback.
● Technology Integration: Use technology meaningfully to enhance student learning, focusing on creation and collaboration.
● Teamwork: Collaborate with support staff and grade-level teams to create optimal learning environments for all students.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
● Experience: Teaching experience in an elementary school setting. Experience with differentiated instruction is essential.
● Certifications: Nevada teaching certification is preferred.
● Skills & Knowledge:
o Strong understanding of developmental stages and learning needs of early elementary students.
o Experience integrating technology into the classroom.
o Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and values.
o Familiarity with Responsive Classroom.
● Personal Qualities: Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate creativity, and maintain strong organizational skills. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are essential.
Physical Requirements:Ability to perform duties that may include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed.

Pay: $53,911.00 - $59,015.00 per year
