Job description:
Park River Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a long-term care setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated therapy team focused on helping residents regain strength, mobility, and independence.
Position Overview:
The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapy services to residents in our skilled nursing and long-term care facility. The PTA will assist with implementing treatment plans and helping residents achieve their highest level of functional ability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, and functional tasks
- Monitor and document resident progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist
- Ensure therapy equipment is used safely and properly
- Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to provide coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements
- Help create a positive and supportive rehabilitation environment for residents
Qualifications:
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the applicable state
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
Pay: $33.00 - $39.91 per hour
