Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced First Article Inspector III for a direct hire opportunity in Valencia, CA within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for a skilled inspection and metrology professional who is confident working independently on complex parts, tight tolerances, detailed engineering drawings, and advanced First Article Inspection requirements.
The First Article Inspector III will play a key role in supporting quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams by ensuring parts and processes meet strict customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys precision measurement, GD&T interpretation, CMM programming support, and technical problem solving in a quality-focused production environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced First Article Inspections and complex dimensional inspections using precision hand tools and measurement equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to verify product compliance.
- Program, operate, and troubleshoot CMM systems, including Hexagon, Manual, and DCC equipment, using PC-DMIS.
- Create, format, and review FAI documentation and inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
- Investigate dimensional nonconformances, support root cause analysis, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
- Provide technical guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 inspectors and support best practices in inspection methods and measurement strategy.
