Confirms and prepares daily procedure schedules for physician. Maintains scheduling system to track all visits and no-show visits along with any other required information.
Duties
- Contact patient/caregiver by telephone to schedule outpatient and inpatient procedures, explains the procedure, medications, and prep as well.
- Receive incoming calls from individuals requesting a physician visit. Enters all required information and maintains necessary follow up on system as required.
- Schedules all CT and Radiology request by the physician. Will require to get authorization for those patients.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Schedules office visits if needed.
- Answer phones.
- Other duties as required.
- Based upon size of the office may need to also perform Medical Assistant duties as shown on the Medical Assistant job description.
- Must be able to multitask.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of practice protocols to assist in scheduling outpatient patients for care.
- Skill in maintaining department quality assurance and control standards. Computer skills and ability to learn new systems required.
- Ability to adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Skill in teamwork and maintaining relationships with patients, caregivers and coworkers.
- ICD-10
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant education/certification
- School Diploma/GED
- One - Two year’s experience in a medical office setting
- Must have strong computer skills

Pay: $26,000.00 - $36,360.00 per year
