Our Basic Irish Luxury store in Newport RI is seeking an experienced, motivated, super service oriented, friendly retail professional for part-time key holder position to start August 13th or before. Applicants should have knowledge of Irish / Celtic culture and symbols and preferably experience traveling or living in Ireland. Applicants should have the ability to strike up conversations while explaining the benefits and origins of our inventory of high quality Irish products.
This is not a seasonal position. We hire long term sales staff. This position includes Sunday and Monday along with other partial days as required. More hours required during holiday season.
Tasks & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
*SALES!
*Work with POS data systems needed for sale, ticketing and input of inventory.
*Assist shoppers in trying on and / or modeling fashion garments.
*Acquire knowledge of products and the craftspeople and families in Ireland who make them. To see what we sell visit ShopTipperary.com.
*Maintain inventory cleanliness and presentation.
*Take in, explain and document customer jewelry repair and maintenance.
*Involve other team members in sales to help customers make decisions and close sales.
*Develop and build customer relationships.
* Process and receive store transfers and purchase orders.
*Work independently and follow opening, closing and security procedures.
*Be punctual and reliable.
*PARKING SPACE MAY BE PROVIDED (a giant fringe benefit in Newport).

Required:
-Open availability to include work evenings, weekends, and holidays
-Basic computer and data entry skills including Microsoft Office.
-Previous jewelry / fashion retail, key holder experience preferred.'
