Special Projects Warehouse Coordinator
Austin, TX - Full-Time - On-Site
About El Famoso
El Famoso builds the commerce infrastructure behind culture. Based in Austin, we partner with artists and brands to handle e-commerce fulfillment, wholesale distribution, tour logistics, and special merchandise projects for some of today's most recognizable brands and artists.
No two days are exactly alike. One day you may be coordinating a kitting project, the next preparing a wholesale order, supporting a special customer request, or helping launch a new product. If you enjoy variety and solving problems, you'll fit right in.
The Role
We're looking for a Warehouse Team Lead to coordinate our Special Projects department. This team handles wholesale orders, kitting projects, product launches, custom fulfillment work, and other high-priority operational projects.
This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll spend most of your day on the warehouse floor coordinating work, assigning tasks, solving problems, and making sure projects stay on schedule. You'll work closely with the Special Projects Lead and Manager while providing day-to-day direction for Special Projects Associates. While the Lead helps oversee the department, you'll be responsible for keeping work moving on the warehouse floor throughout the day.
The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, communicates well, and enjoys keeping people and projects moving.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate daily activities within the Special Projects department.
- Assign work to Special Projects Associates and monitor progress throughout the day.
- Help prioritize projects based on deadlines and business needs.
- Make day-to-day operational decisions to keep projects moving, escalating only when additional support or approval is needed.
- Coordinate with Receiving, Inventory, Fulfillment, and Client Operations to ensure projects have everything needed to stay on schedule.
- Communicate project status, risks, and delays to the Lead and Manager.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and shipping deadlines.
- Assist with inventory verification, issue resolution, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Help train new team members and reinforce department procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow and organization.
What You BringRequired
- 2+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable leading small teams and assigning work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Preferred
- Experience with ShipHero or another Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Experience with Monday.com.
- Experience leading kitting or project-based warehouse work.
- Experience training or mentoring team members.
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar to improve organization, documentation, communication, or problem-solving.
Success in This Role
- Keep projects moving without constant supervision.
- Communicate problems early instead of waiting until deadlines are missed.
- Stay organized while juggling multiple priorities.
- Make sound day-to-day decisions while knowing when to escalate.
- Lead by example and jump in wherever needed.
- Support the team while maintaining high quality standards.
Why El Famoso
