Duties
- Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting chief complaints with enthusiasm and accuracy
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support clinical assessments
- Assist with procedures like pulmonary function testing and patient medication injections.
- Support physician by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing medical supplies efficiently
- Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document patient information, ICD coding for diagnoses, and treatment plans clearly and precisely
- Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning
- Medical Spanish experience preferred
Experience
- Certified Medical Assistant or prior experience working in hospital environments or outpatient clinics is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards is essential for success in this role
- Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support tasks such as scheduling and patient follow-up is advantageous
- Previous roles involving pulmonary, allergy/immunology or internal medicine will help you adapt quickly to diverse patient populations
