Obstetrician Gynecologist (OB/GYN)
Location: Ruidoso, New Mexico
Pay Rate: $2800 To $3000 per day
Contract: Ongoing Locum Assignment
Schedule: On-Call Only (8:00 AM 8:00 AM)
Experience: Minimum 1 year of OB/GYN experience required
About the Role
We are seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician for an ongoing locum opportunity in Ruidoso, New Mexico. This on-call assignment focuses on OB, Emergency Room, and inpatient consult coverage, with opportunities for ongoing coverage based on provider availability. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing both low- and high-risk pregnancies, performing C-sections, and handling obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
Responsibilities
Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for Obstetrics, ER, and inpatient consultations.
Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, labor, and delivery cases.
Perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and emergency OB/GYN procedures.
Evaluate and treat gynecologic emergencies and perform on-call surgical GYN procedures as needed.
Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR and collaborate with the healthcare team.
Requirements
Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician required.
Active New Mexico Medical License (or eligibility) required.
BLS, ACLS, and NRP Certifications required.
Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, VBACs, and high-risk obstetrics required.
Must provide case logs and be eligible for hospital privileges.
