Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated Primary Therapist to join our PHP/IOP clinical team. This position is responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy while managing a clinical caseload and collaborating closely with case managers, medical providers, and other members of the treatment team.
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outpatient treatment environment. Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is strongly preferred. Strong clinical judgment, timely documentation, and effective communication skills are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for clients participating in PHP and IOP services.
- Complete assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other required clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and process groups using evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with case managers, medical providers, and the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate quality client care.
- Support clients in developing relapse prevention strategies, healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery goals.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, clinical supervision, and ongoing professional development.
- Coordinate care with outside providers and family members when clinically appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) or licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC).
- Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment, behavioral health, PHP, IOP, residential, or outpatient settings strongly preferred.
- Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
