Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Implement individualized restorative care plans aimed at promoting patient mobility, independence, and overall well-being.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while encouraging self-care whenever possible.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and responses to interventions using electronic health record (EHR) systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Support safe patient transfers utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment like Hoyer lifts to prevent injury.
- Educate patients and families about strategies to maintain or improve functional abilities and manage chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nurses, therapists, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes through effective communication.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all patient information during documentation and communication.
Experience
- Prior experience working as a CNA in long-term care facilities, skilled nursing homes, assisted living communities, or hospital settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques essential for delivering safe restorative care.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Familiarity with specialized care areas including geriatrics, dementia care, memory care, behavioral health, hospice care, ICU, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is advantageous.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) or CPR required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and safe manual handling practices while maintaining patient safety at all times.
- Strong caregiver communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatric patients, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring complex medical support.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
