Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Infant Teacher to inspire young learners during their formative years. Duties
- Assist Lead Teacher with classroom activities and manage daily schedules to ensure a balanced mix of play, learning, and rest tailored to toddler needs
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on child progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations while maintaining a safe and healthy environment
- Collaborate with specialists in special education and early intervention to support children with diverse needs
- Maintain detailed documentation of each child's development progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly
Requirements
- Valid CPR/First Aid Certification
- Valid TB Test (Within a year)
- At least 1 year of early childcare experience in a licensed facility
- Previous work experience with children on the spectrum
- Available to work weekends/holidays when needed since we are a 24 hour, 7 days a week childcare center (never close)
- Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or daycare setting, with demonstrated classroom management skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, infant care practices, and early childhood education standards
- Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies for infants
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and external professionals
- Ability to lead a team of educators with enthusiasm while fostering a positive classroom atmosphere
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in early childhood settings
