Position Summary:
The Material Handler at Omerin USA Inc. is responsible for the accurate movement, handling, storage, and staging of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate areas in a timely, safe, and organized manner while maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities:
· Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies
· Non-CDL transportation with box truck
· Fork truck material handling
· Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated production or storage areas
· Stage materials for production according to schedules and work orders
· Load and unload materials manually or using material-handling equipment
· Maintain accurate inventory records and complete required documentation
· Perform routine checks to ensure materials are properly labeled and stored
· Assist with inventory counts and audits as required
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
· Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures
· Communicate material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA’s):
· Knowledge of basic warehouse and material-handling practices
· Understanding of safety procedures related to material movement and storage
· Ability to read and follow work orders, labels, and instructions
· Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Strong organizational and time-management skills
· Basic math skills for counting, weighing, and inventory tracking
· Dependability, reliability, and a strong work ethic
Work Environment and Restrictions:
· Work is performed in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
· Exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures may occur
· Required to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods
· Required to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
· Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
· Operation of material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts may be required (training provided)
Education and Experience Requirements:
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred
· Prior experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling role preferred but not required
· Willingness to obtain forklift certification required; current possession of forklift certification preferred
