Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter Pipe Welder to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems with precision and expertise. Your expertise in welding techniques, pipe fitting, and schematic interpretation will ensure that projects meet safety standards, quality expectations, and project deadlines. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
- Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other specialized welding processes to join pipes securely.
- Fit, cut, thread, solder, bend, and assemble pipes using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment.
- Install fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, pipeline infrastructure, plumbing systems, and other mechanical piping applications on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of piping systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Rigging and lifting heavy pipe sections safely using appropriate rigging techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Follow schematics and technical instructions precisely to ensure proper assembly of complex piping networks.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and compliance with safety standards throughout each project phase.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or Pipe Welder within construction sites or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, and pipe bending techniques.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and technical diagrams related to piping systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hand tools, power tools, calipers, tube bending equipment, and pipe threading machinery.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, fire sprinkler fitting procedures, pipeline installation practices, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations accurately.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction site activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality workmanship and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials regularly and work in various environmental conditions.
