Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
- Operate floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other custodial tools to maintain spotless floors and surfaces.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper handling procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting surfaces to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and facilities upkeep as needed.
- Follow safety guidelines during heavy lifting or manual handling tasks to prevent injuries and ensure safe working practices.
- Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages promptly.
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the proper use of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely by adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently throughout each shift.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
