Company OverviewJob SummaryThe Reassembly Technician is responsible for the final mechanical and structural assembly of Toyota and Lexus vehicles following structural and paint repairs. This critical role ensures that all repaired vehicles are restored precisely to factory specifications, matching original equipment manufacturer (OEM) safety, fit, and finish standards. You will handle complex electronics, safety sensors, interior trim, and exterior body panels, serving as the final line of defense for quality control before detailing and delivery. Key Responsibilities1. Vehicle Reassembly & Fitment
- Reassemble vehicle components including exterior body panels, bumpers, grilles, molding, door handles, and lights.
- Reinstall interior components such as dashboards, door panels, headliners, seats, and carpeting.
- Align body panels, doors, hoods, and deck lids to strict factory gap and flushness tolerances.
- Ensure all water seals, weatherstripping, and sound-dampening materials are properly applied to prevent leaks and noise.
2. Mechanical & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Integration
- Reinstall mechanical components disturbed during repair, including cooling systems, air conditioning components, suspension pieces, and brackets.
- Carefully route and connect wiring harnesses, modules, and electrical connectors.
- Mount and position ADAS components (blind-spot monitors, radar sensors, front-facing cameras) safely to prep them for calibration.
- Perform pre- and post-assembly vehicle diagnostic scans using factory scanning tools to ensure zero fault codes remain.
3. Quality Assurance & OEM Compliance
- Review supplement sheets and blueprinting documents to verify all ordered parts were correctly installed.
- Strictly adhere to Toyota Techinfo (TIS) guidelines and Lexus repair procedures for all torque specs, one-time-use fasteners, and clip replacements.
- Conduct thorough function tests on all reassembled parts (e.g., power windows, locks, cameras, lights, and infotainment).
- Identify any missing parts, incorrect paint match, or repair defects and immediately report them to the Production Manager.
4. Shop Safety & Organization
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring all disassembled parts bins are properly tracked.
- Safely handle and store fragile components (such as glass, clips, and electronic modules).
- Comply with all OSHA, EPA, and company safety regulations.
