Quality Control Technician

Position Summary
Jenkins Plumbing Company is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Technician to join our Jacksonville, Florida team. The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting completed residential plumbing installations to ensure all work meets company quality standards, local building codes, and customer expectations. This position works closely with field supervisors, plumbers, and branch management to identify deficiencies, document findings, and help maintain the highest level of workmanship.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform quality inspections on completed residential plumbing installations.
- Verify installations comply with company standards, manufacturer specifications, and local plumbing codes.
- Identify workmanship issues, code violations, and installation deficiencies.
- Document inspection findings with detailed notes and photographs.
- Communicate inspection results to branch management and field personnel.
- Verify punch list items have been completed correctly.
- Assist with warranty inspections and quality-related customer concerns as needed.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
- Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Work collaboratively with field teams to improve installation quality and consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Residential plumbing experience preferred.
- Previous quality control or inspection experience preferred.
- Knowledge of residential plumbing systems and installation practices preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections daily.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Will train the right candidate.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk active construction sites.
- Ability to climb ladders, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
