Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed to keep facilities spotless.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures following company standards to ensure hygiene compliance.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and janitorial tools efficiently and safely.
- Handle laundry duties when required, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms.
- Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting and moving supplies or equipment safely.
- Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces and areas by using appropriate cleaning detergents and disinfectants.
- Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding specific cleaning needs or areas requiring special attention.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial work, residential or commercial cleaning, or janitorial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation standards, floor care techniques, carpet cleaning, and surface disinfection.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members.
- Experience in residential housekeeping or hospitality environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with cleaning supplies such as detergents and disinfectants along with proper handling procedures.
