American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment requiring recent postpartum experience and BLS/NRP certification.
-
Work in the Birthing Center L&D unit of a hospital-based birth care setting
-
29-bed unit staffed with approximately 20 team members
-
Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN and 3-4 RNs; night shift includes 1 charge RN and 2-3 RNs
-
Patient ratios of 4-6:1
-
Unit cares for post-op gynecological and urogynecology surgery patients, ectopic pregnancies, and high-risk pregnancies requiring hospitalization (PPROM, preeclampsia, previa, PTL)

Additional patient types include fetal monitoring (NST) patients, GYN oncology post-op, women's health med-surg, post-partum NICU moms, and readmitted post-partum complications

Uses Welch Allyn vitals machines, CPN monitors, and point-of-care glucose monitoring equipment

Utilizes Meditech and CPN EMR systems

Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

13-week assignment length

Active KS or compact RN license required
-
BLS and NRP (Advanced 9th Edition) certifications required

Fetal Monitoring certification (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, or NCCEFM) required

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care postpartum experience required

OB, med-surg, and GYN experience preferred
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Provide direct patient care within a busy birthing center supporting a variety of high-risk and post-surgical OB/GYN patients

Must follow HCA ICARE standards of behavior

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
