Position Title: Car Wash Attendant
Reports to: Manager - Warrior Car Wash
Pay Rate: $12.65 Hourly
Under the supervision of the Carwash Manager, the Car Wash Attendant is responsible for performing the daily operations of running the Car Wash facility. Attendants are to ensure we consistently turn out a clean, dry, and shiny vehicle.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Arrive at work in a clean and complete uniform, and be clean and neat in appearance.
- Greet customers in a friendly manner.
- Always be ready to assist customers with menu options and payment.
- Guide cars into the wash area with focused, pleasant, and competent demeanor.
- Perform visual inspections of the condition of each vehicle prior to sending it through the wash bay.
- Be proficient with all car wash policies and procedures and able to perform them on a daily basis as needed.
- Perform visual inspections in the tunnel and back room to ensure all equipment and chemicals are functioning properly.
- Assist in performing regularly scheduled maintenance on all equipment to ensure it is kept in proper working order.
- Keep the entire property spotlessly clean and ensure everything is kept in the proper place and organized.
- Keep vacuums unclogged, hoses hung properly, and trash cans emptied.
- Be polite and available to address all customers concerns and handle them in a professional manner that is satisfactory to both the customer and the Car Wash.
- Work cooperatively with others to create a pleasant and friendly work environment.
- Make smart decisions when solving problems.
- Watch for theft and report any suspicious behavior.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Retail or customer service experience
- Hands-on experience with the repair and maintenance of car wash equipment
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (TBD)
Minimum Requirements:
- Hands on experience with the operation, repair, and maintenance of car wash equipment
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Must be flexible with the ability to adapt to change when required
- Must be available for holidays, evening and weekend work
- Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions; communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; establish and maintain highly effective working relationships
- Ability to work with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds in a courteous and professional manner
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust along with the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of cash register/POS system
- A record of satisfactory performance in all prior and current employment as evidenced by positive employment references from previous and current employers
