Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician to provide comprehensive medical care across diverse patient populations. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments through detailed history-taking and physical examinations, utilizing advanced medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, including medication management, procedural interventions, and health coaching strategies.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging techniques such as CT scans, ultrasound, and radiography; interpret results accurately to inform clinical decisions.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic and other EMR platforms to document patient encounters, update medical records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient care across various settings, including hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and specialty clinics such as cardiology, endocrinology, or neurology.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance medical knowledge and improve treatment protocols; participate in quality improvement activities aligned with NCQA standards.
- Manage acute pain cases, perform procedures such as suturing or catheterization, and oversee post-operative or post-acute care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning, hospice & palliative medicine services, or rehabilitative care for complex cases.
- Maintain proficiency in airway management techniques, ventilator support, and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during critical procedures.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience in hospital or outpatient settings with a focus on primary care or specialized fields such as cardiology, neurology, or psychiatry.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation and patient management.
- Experience performing diagnostic radiology procedures including CT scans or nuclear medicine is preferred.
- Background in managing complex cases involving critical care environments such as ICU or neurocritical care units.
- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT and ICD coding) and billing practices to ensure accurate documentation for reimbursement purposes.
- Prior involvement in clinical research trials or participation in quality improvement initiatives is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology—including psychopharmacology—and procedural techniques such as suturing or gastrostomy placement.
