Associate, Marketing Strategy & Engagement

Role Overview
Big Fish Marketing Collective is seeking a motivated, personable Associate to join our Marketing Strategy & Engagement team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in outreach, event marketing, and audience strategy while supporting client programs. You will play a central role in identifying and securing event locations that connect brands directly with their target audiences.
High performers will have opportunities to take on more client-facing responsibilities, contribute to strategy and process improvements, and grow toward more senior roles over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify on site or event locations that align with client goals and target audiences

Capture details/manage expectations for guidelines/permits for on-site location activation

Manage a high volume of phone and email outreach to secure event participation

Build and maintain strong relationships with location contacts

Track outreach activity, responses, and bookings using Monday.com

Coordinate with events scheduler to manage high-volume activation/events calendar ensuring set goals are met.

Adapt plans and messaging to meet shifting client priorities

Maintain clear notes and recaps to support team alignment

Contribute ideas to improve outreach scripts, processes, and targeting strategies

Support program planning and reporting to prepare for eventual client-facing responsibilities

Flexibility in down time to work on ad hoc company projects and needs

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required

1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, events, outreach, or other customer-facing roles preferred

Ability to be in Glastonbury, CT office 5 days a week

Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Monday.com (willing to learn Monday.com if not trained)

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000 plus bonus opportunity
