Tandoor & Tap is a locally owned Indian restaurant located in the middle of beautiful downtown Statesboro. We take pride in our exceptional dishes and our high standards of customer service and guest experience. Our atmosphere is casual upscale and a perfect place for any occasion.
What We Are Looking For:
Servers
Guest experience is a priority for us and hosts are usually the first point of contact when you enter a restaurant. We are looking for new faces to join our family who possess high-quality customer service skills and positive attitudes!
Responsibilities:
· Learning the menu extensively and familiarizing yourself with the cuisine to help guests understand the dishes and find something they will enjoy.
· Learning the bar menu, cocktails, and various types of alcohol available. Using this to upsell to guests and suggest new options for them based on their preferences.
· Being attentive to your tables, beyond the basics of being a “good server”. This means constant attention to refills, pre-bussing, anticipating guest needs, and performing at top quality!
· Familiarizing yourself with the POS and how to ring things in properly.
· Taking guest payments (cash & card). Practicing server banking.
· Communicating with management and co-workers to keep service flowing smoothly, Asking questions when necessary and asking for help when you need it.
· Assisting your coworkers throughout the shift. Including running food, bussing & cleaning tables, answering phones, refilling drinks, etc. Working as a team is of the utmost importance for guest experience.
· Basic cleaning duties, sidework, and closing work.

· Ability to understand and follow instructions and communicate effectively with co-workers and management. Not afraid to ask for clarification or assistance when necessary.
· Exceptional people skills and phone etiquette.
· Able to work well with others! Be a team player!
· Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift/carry trays of food.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
