What You’ll Do
The Cell Coordinator is responsible for operational assistance to production employees. Primary focus will be supporting the Facilitator of their designated departments in order to meet or exceed department objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety: Assures production employees are working in a safe manner.
Quality: Assures departmental work meets the required quality standards.
Delivery: Assures departmental work is completed in the time needed by the external/internal customer.
Cost: Assures the department is functioning within expectations in production efficiency and scrap.
SPECIFIC WORK TASKS:
- Promote a team environment
- Setup workstations with required material and documentation for next job or process. Ensure operator understands OI changes and is trained to the OI
- Assemble kits for production
- Ensure all fixtures and measurement devices, testers are complete, calibrated, and verified at setup
- Perform First and Last Piece checks
- Support the rework process.
- Monitor and support Andon Flags
- Assist in troubleshooting area non-conformances: Quality and Procedure
- Report necessary information that effects production output i.e. material shortages, machine downtime, quality issues, etc. to the Facilitator
- Participate in production related meetings and classes
- Develop working relationships with the Facilitators, other Cell Coordinators, Quality and Engineering Techs in order to resolve issues effectively
What You Bring
- Hands on Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience building wire harnesses in a manufacturing setting is a plus.
- Defense, Military, or Aerospace industry background is also a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards (IPC/WHMA a plus)
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (ITAR-compliant facility)
- Ability to distinguish colors and read small print (used in wire identification and labeling).
- Occasional lifting of light materials (up to 40 pounds).
- Visual acuity to perform close-up work with small components.
- IPC-610 Certification (Preferred)
