Job Summary

Duties

- Manage event budgets meticulously, ensuring profitability through effective upselling and cost control.
- Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
- Plan and oversee a variety of events such as corporate functions, community gatherings, banquets, and special celebrations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and ensuring seamless event execution.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for upselling catering packages and event services.
- Maintain detailed records of contracts, budgets, client preferences, and event feedback to improve future offerings.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent time management skills to meet deadlines consistently.
- Utilize technical proficiency in event management software and marketing tools to streamline operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning, catering management, or hospitality roles within restaurants, hotels, or banquet settings.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals that benefit both the client and the organization.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies including event marketing, community outreach, and digital promotion.
- Demonstrated ability in managing event budgets effectively while maximizing revenue through upselling techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, team members, and guests professionally.
- Technical proficiency with event management platforms, CRM systems, or marketing tools is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in coordinating multiple events simultaneously.
- Experience in banquet operations or restaurant/hospitality environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with contracts, catering logistics, guest services, and fundraising activities adds value.
- A proactive attitude with strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently under pressure.
