Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Part-Time Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately using pharmacy software systems, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, considering medical history, physiology knowledge, and current health status.
- Provide patient-centered counseling on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Manage inventory efficiently, including medication stock levels, expiration dates, and ordering supplies to ensure uninterrupted pharmacy operations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers on medical management plans for complex cases such as pain management or critical care scenarios.
- Maintain accurate records within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support pharmacy technician staff by overseeing medication preparation, inventory control, and workflow coordination.
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the applicable jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on patient service and assessment.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools.
- Experience and familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology concepts, and medication administration protocols.
- Certification in immunizations and vaccinations is preferred; additional certifications in aseptic technique or IV infusion are advantageous.
- Proven ability to perform patient care activities such as medication reconciliation, pain management strategies, and acute care interventions.
