Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Key Holder/Sales Associate to join our dynamic retail team. In this vital role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, supporting sales initiatives, and ensuring smooth daily operations. As a key holder, you will assist in opening and closing the store, supervise team members, and uphold our high standards for merchandising and store presentation. Your enthusiasm and leadership will help create a welcoming environment that encourages customer loyalty and drives sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product selection, demonstrations, and inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and cash handling.
- Support upselling efforts by recommending additional products or services to meet customer needs.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards by organizing products, restocking shelves, and ensuring attractive displays.
- Conduct product demos to educate customers on features and benefits, fostering engagement and sales opportunities.
- Manage stock levels through stocking, inventory checks, and communicating low inventory needs to management.
- Supervise store operations during scheduled shifts by opening or closing the store, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and assisting with cashiering duties.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or internal communications.
- Assist in training new team members on sales techniques, product knowledge, and store procedures.
- Support team efforts in grocery or retail environments by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficient checkout processes.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in a retail or grocery store setting.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead by example and motivate team members.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in multiple languages (bilingual skills are a plus).
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions, inventory counts, and sales analysis.
- Skilled in merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays that attract customers.
- Experience with product demos to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Knowledge of upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
- Basic math skills for cash register operations and inventory management.
