American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to pass a mandatory EKG exam during onboarding.

Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting

Primary patient population is Medical/Surgical, with additional exposure to observation, respiratory, palliative/end-of-life/hospice, psychiatric observation, diabetic, and surgical patients

Schedule: Days, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Every other weekend required; holiday coverage as needed

Floating may be required across all system facilities

Epic EMR experience is mandatory

13-week contract

Active NC or compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Epic EMR proficiency required

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Unit is posted as MS/Tele due to an EKG exam requirement for all RNs, though the primary patient population is Medical/Surgical

All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding; two attempts are allowed

Study materials for the EKG exam will not be provided by the facility — candidates should prepare in advance

Previous Charge RN experience is preferred
