Are you looking for a career rather than just a job? South Bay Plastic Surgeons is the one of the largest and busiest plastic surgery practices in the South Bay, and we are looking for an experienced full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our growing team.
Our practice is home to five plastic surgeons and provides a fast-paced, professional, and patient-focused environment. We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with at least two years of experience, preferably in plastic surgery, who is ready to contribute to the continued growth and success of our practice.
The ideal candidate will have an exceptional team mentality, strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service.
Primary Responsibilities
Our Medical Assistants play an important role in both patient care and the day-to-day operations of our practice. Responsibilities include:
· Rooming patients and obtaining medical histories and vital signs
· Assisting physicians with in-office procedures
· Preparing patient charts and documentation for surgery
· Calling in medications and coordinating prescriptions
· Ordering diagnostic testing and obtaining necessary authorizations
· Taking patient photographs
· Preparing patients for surgery and ensuring all required pre-operative documentation is complete
· Confirming upcoming surgeries
· Preparing and maintaining accurate patient charts
· Sterilizing instruments and equipment
· Opening the office and preparing clinical areas for the day
· Assisting with the cleaning and sterilization of the operating room
· Supporting physicians and the clinical team with additional duties as needed

Qualifications
· Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required
· Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
· Previous plastic surgery experience strongly preferred
· Experience working in a fast-paced medical environment
· Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
· Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work effectively as part of a team
· Professional, dependable, and patient-focused

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
