About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable Delivery Driver to join our Healthy Fresh Meals team. This role plays a critical link in our chain, ensuring our meals arrive at their destinations fresh, accurate, and on time.
Positions are available for both part-time and full-time schedules. Part-time opportunities begin with Monday route coverage, with the potential to grow into additional days and full-time hours based on operational needs and performance. All drivers operate company-provided vehicles, and routes are assigned based on operational needs and may vary.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packing & Accuracy
- Inventory Verification: Use delivery checklists to cross-reference every item, ensuring 100% accuracy for every stop
- Thermal Control: Pack all coolers with ice packs and ensure hot boxes maintain appropriate temperatures to ensure strict temperature standards for all meals
- Dock Staging: Organize and stage the loading dock to ensure a seamless and efficient morning departure
2. Delivery Operations
- Route Execution: Deliver meals to designated sites in a safe, professional, and timely manner
- Precision: Ensure the right items are dropped off at the right locations every time
- Equipment Care: Organize and manage hot boxes and battery units to ensure meal integrity during transit
3. Fleet & Equipment Maintenance
- Vehicle Care: Maintain the cleanliness of delivery vans (interior and exterior) and take vehicles for routine professional car washes
- Preventative Maintenance: Responsible for taking vans for scheduled oil changes and reporting any mechanical issues
- Cooler & Ice Pack Stewardship: Clean, sanitize, and organize the ice pack and cooler inventory, including periodic refreshing or painting of equipment to maintain a professional brand appearance
Requirements & Qualifications
- Reliability: You are the person who shows up on time, every time
- Attention to Detail: You notice if a meal is missing or if an ice pack is leaking before it hits the van
- Safe Driving Record: A valid driver's license and a clean driving history are non-negotiable
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, move hot boxes, and navigate loading docks frequently throughout your shift
- Organizational Skills: A neat and detail-oriented mentality for the loading dock and van interior
- Experience: Prior delivery, logistics, or route driving experience preferred but not required
- Attitude: Maintain a can-do attitude by assisting with miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed to ensure the success of the team and the satisfaction of our clients
To obtain employment with Healthy Fresh Meals, we require a clean 3-year driving record with no major violations. Any extended employment offer is considered conditional upon a satisfactory background check and approval from our commercial auto insurance carrier.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
