Duties
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety regulations
- Support food running and serving duties to ensure timely delivery of orders to guests or dining areas
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and stock in safe lifting practices
- Manage food handling responsibilities with strict adherence to hygiene protocols and safety guidelines
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and guest transactions
- Assist with in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries professionally and courteously
- Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and maintaining overall sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and restaurant operations is desirable
- Experience working in banquet settings or hospitality environments is a bonus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
