Job Summary
The Finance & Insurance Manager plays a crucial role in the automotive dealership by overseeing the financial services department. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of financing and insurance processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maximizing profitability through effective upselling strategies. Responsibilities
- Manage the finance and insurance department operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with dealership policies and state regulations.
- Work closely with customers to explain financing options, warranties, and insurance products, ensuring they understand their choices.
- Analyze customer credit reports and financial information to determine loan eligibility and terms.
- Process loan applications and facilitate communication between lenders and customers.
- Oversee title processing and ensure all contracts are accurately completed and submitted in a timely manner.
- Train and mentor staff on financial software systems, dealership policies, and best practices in upselling products.
- Develop strategies to increase profitability through effective marketing of finance products.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial services or as a loan officer within the automotive sales industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis, title processing, and contract management.
- Proficiency in financial software tools to streamline operations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to customers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
