Your ultimate goal is to ensure materials are perfectly pulled and staged so our field teams can execute flawless project fulfillment.Key Responsibilities
- Personnel Management & Leadership: Hire, onboard, motivate, and hold the installation and warehouse teams accountable. Take complete ownership of team member success. Review and approve team timecards to ensure accurate hours tracking for payroll.
- Schedule Optimization: Maintain installation team schedules based on event difficulty and labor requirements. Ensure installers receive their finalized shifts at least one week in advance.
- Facility & Fleet Maintenance: Apply practical handyman skills to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks around the shop and fleet. Keep the warehouse clean, organized, safe, and optimized for smooth workflows. Ensure company vehicles remain in reliable working order for field teams.
- Installation Staging: Supervise the accurate pulling and organizing of project materials so installation teams can easily load up and succeed in the field.
- Quality Control (QC): Implement and oversee rigorous QC checks to verify that staged orders are 100% correct and complete before leaving the facility.
- Project Management & Purchasing: Own the coordination, purchasing, tracking, and execution of special, custom, or large-scale project orders.
- Inventory Control: Maintain accurate stock counts to minimize material discrepancies and eliminate product bottlenecks.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate constantly with the company owner and sales team to coordinate project timelines, clarify order details, and prepare for upcoming installation needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Problem Solving & Adaptability: Highly proactive and forward-thinking in anticipating operational needs. Ability to think on your feet, adapt quickly to shifts in priorities, troubleshoot missing items, and resolve staging bottlenecks before they disrupt field operations.
- Thrives in High-Velocity Environments: Comfortable managing demanding work weeks with extended hours during peak project flows. This role is project-driven, requiring dedication to stay until the team is fully prepped and the day's commitments are successfully finalized.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for quality control to prevent missing parts or incorrect materials from reaching job sites.
- Communication & Collaborative Leadership: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively train team members and align with sales and installation departments. Receptive to direct feedback, open communication, and strategic alignment with the company owner.
- Physical Stamina & Comfort with Heights: Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods, organizing heavy stock, and safely lifting materials. Must be completely comfortable working on ladders and at heights, with the physical agility to safely navigate staging and installation environments.
- Experience & Compliance: Previous experience in the service industry, holiday or event industry, warehouse operations, or logistics staging is highly preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to assist with fleet oversight.
- Technical Requirement: Familiar with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail), digital calendaring, and online time-tracking software.
Schedule & Compensation
- The Rotation: Week On / Week Off schedule. Due to the independent nature of the rotation, minimal administrative check-ins (such as finalizing the upcoming week's installer schedule) are required during the off-week to ensure a seamless operational handoff.
- The Commitment: 40 hour work weeks during onboarding phase and then expect your active rotation to guarantee all customer orders and field teams are fully supported.
- Compensation (Onboarding Phase): Starts at $25.00 per hour. To ensure full legal compliance during this hourly phase, all hours worked over 40 in a single workweek are paid at the required overtime rate of $37.50 per hour.
- Onboarding Duration: This hands-on, introductory onboarding and evaluation period lasts between 90 to 180 days, depending entirely on the candidate’s operational abilities, pace of learning, and mastery of company systems.
- Salary Transition: Upon successful graduation from the onboarding phase and a formal evaluation of core managerial duties, the position transitions directly to a competitive annual salary ranging from $60,000 - $78,000, structured as an exempt executive role.
