Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring to gather accurate clinical data.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans utilizing evidence-based practices
- Perform diagnostic evaluations using laboratory testing, medical imaging, sonography, and other advanced tools to inform treatment decisions.
- Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions, following strict safety protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Manage acute and chronic conditions by providing urgent care and airway management as needed.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Ability to Read EKGs
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification in your practicing state or region.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or experience with Cerner or eClinicalWorks is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10 coding systems for billing and documentation purposes.
- Ability to handle triage situations efficiently while delivering compassionate patient-centered care across medicine contexts.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on health coaching topics like medication adherence while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
