ABOUT THE ROLE
1A Wash LLC is looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented car wash manager to oversee daily operations at our Holden, ME facility. You'll be the go-to person for everything from equipment upkeep and chemical monitoring to customer communication and vendor coordination — ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment every day. DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor chemical levels and ensure proper usage and storage
- Order parts, supplies, and consumables as needed
- Maintain and troubleshoot car wash equipment
- Perform and document preventative maintenance
- Maintain and oversee all technology components of the wash, including payment systems, control panels, and automated equipment
- Empty and manage trash receptacles throughout the facility
- Clean and maintain wash bays to operational standards
- Coordinate water removal and drainage management
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience by greeting guests, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring satisfaction at every visit
- Communicate professionally with customers on-site
- Coordinate higher-level service needs with external service providers
- Oversee all-around building and grounds maintenance
- Build and maintain strong vendor partner relationships
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Prior experience in facility maintenance, car wash operations, or a related trade is preferred. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and comfortable working independently, taking ownership of daily operations without close supervision. You should have strong communication skills — both with customers and vendor partners — and the ability to think on your feet to resolve problems as they arise. A commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience, combined with a working knowledge of mechanical systems and technology components, and a proactive approach to maintenance, is a strong asset.
