Job Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Pipe Layer and play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and repairing essential underground utility systems. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to accurately install underground utilities such as sewer lines, water supply systems, and stormwater systems.
- Install pipes using pipe lasers and other specialized tools to meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Conduct utility trenching and pipe installation in accordance with blueprint specifications and construction plans.
- Perform concrete finishing, concrete forming, welding, and other related tasks to support infrastructure projects.
- Locate underground utilities with utility-locating tools to prevent damage during excavation.
- Follow all safety regulations, including federal construction safety protocols, to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
Skills
- Skilled in pipeline installation for sewer lines, water systems, stormwater management, and underground utilities installation
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Experience with utility locating techniques and utility system installation projects
- Knowledge of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and oil & gas infrastructure
- Competence in construction trenching methods and following safety regulations related to construction site experience
- Familiarity with concrete forming, concrete finishing techniques, welding procedures, and the use of hand tools
