ROLE SUMMARY:
The Communications Coordinator assists in planning and implementing integrated communications activities, conducts research and establishes data reports, supports community outreach and events, and coordinates with the marketing design and content for annual campaigns. The associate also monitors social media accounts and digital ads and supports the Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs with administrative tasks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manages all Wellnest social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube), including creating graphics, copy, and video content in Canva for both digital and internal/external communications.

Creates and distributes agency eblasts supporting internal campaigns and external events; co-manages digital ad campaigns and monitors performance analytics.
- Researches and executes DEI holiday and advocacy campaigns; compiles data and assembles campaign assets and media kits.
- Maintains the Communications calendar in Outlook and supports timeline planning for digital campaigns.
- Updates and maintains the agency website using WordPress, including content and webpage edits.

Supports various events with setup, breakdown, signage, photography, videography, and on-site logistics.
- Fulfills outreach supply requests from program staff; sources and orders promotional materials through vendors.
- Supports public affairs initiatives including outreach to legislators and elected officials on behalf of Wellnest.
- Processes purchase orders and manages vendor communication for the Communications department.
- Orders agency-wide supplies including business cards and envelopes for all staff.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and insurable driving record.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employee may be asked to pursue additional training when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Company. Employee must have the ability to use a personal vehicle with the required insurance coverage to complete the essential duties of their job and conduct agency business. Employee must maintain a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record that meets Wellnest’s insurance carrier’s criteria for liability coverage. In keeping with Company policy for all employees, the successful applicant must also complete a test for TB, and fingerprint clearance by the Department of Justice. Employee must agree to Wellnest's Arbitration Agreement as a condition of employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Employee regularly works in an office environment. Employee may be required to work flexible, evening and/or weekend hours for time-sensitive projects.

Excellent organizational, coordination, problem-solving, and time management skills, including planning and managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining an eye for detail.

Working knowledge of email marketing and the digital environment; importing and exporting contact data, creating a content calendar and campaigns that align with DEI holidays, events, and other marketing priorities.
- Basic knowledge of website principles, SEO, and how these issues affect content and engagement with followers and users of the website (Wordpress)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (i.e., MS Word, Excel, PPT, and Outlook) and ability to adapt to new technology systems and applications.
