We are currently seeking a collaborating physician licensed in South Carolina to support the launch of Phase One of our practice. This position is ideal for a physician seeking a flexible, low-time commitment opportunity while supporting evidence-based advanced practice care.
Phase One Services
The collaborating physician will provide collaborative oversight for services including:
- Veteran Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations (evaluation only; no treatment or disability determinations)
- Concierge skilled nursing services
- Occupational, employment, DOT (when applicable), school, and sports physicals
- Preventive wellness services
- Limited primary and urgent care services within APRN scope of practice
Position Responsibilities
- Enter into a Collaborative Practice Agreement with a South Carolina Family Nurse Practitioner.
- Be readily available via telephone, secure electronic communication, or telecommunication for consultation and professional guidance as required by South Carolina law.
- Participate in periodic chart review and quality assurance activities consistent with the Collaborative Practice Agreement.
- Provide clinical consultation when requested.
- Support compliance with South Carolina laws governing APRN collaborative practice.
- Maintain professional communication and foster a collaborative practice environment.
This position does not require an in-office presence or direct supervision of daily patient encounters.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Hold an active, unrestricted permanent South Carolina MD or DO license.
- Be actively practicing medicine within the geographic boundaries of South Carolina.
- Maintain current DEA registration (if applicable to specialty).
- Have no current disciplinary actions affecting licensure.
- Be eligible to serve as a collaborating physician under South Carolina law.
- Have availability for remote consultation during business hours.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and collaborative skills.
South Carolina Requirements
To comply with South Carolina law:
- The collaborating physician must maintain an active, unrestricted permanent South Carolina medical license.
- The physician must actively practice medicine within South Carolina.
- Remote collaboration is acceptable provided the physician remains readily available through telecommunication or electronic communication for consultation.
Preferred Specialties
We welcome physicians from specialties including:
- Family Medicine
- Internal Medicine
- Emergency Medicine
- Occupational Medicine
- Preventive Medicine
Other specialties with applicable experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation
Monthly collaborative agreement compensation is negotiable based on physician availability, experience, and anticipated practice growth.
Initial Phase One compensation is expected to require a limited time commitment, with opportunities for compensation adjustments as Kalos Vitality expands its service offerings.
