Role Overview
The Coordinator keeps Achieve Works running across the central-north cohort and works closely with the Career Coaches serving these schools. This person supports and helps lead the coaches, keeps operations on track across sites, and makes sure students get consistent, high-quality programming from school to school. The Coordinator reports to the Director of Career Pathways, with day-to-day support from the Lead Coordinator.
Responsibilities
Program Coordination and Site Operations
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of Achieve Works at the central-north cohort schools
- Keep schedules, student rosters, and site activities on track
- Coordinate with school staff on space, scheduling, and student access
- Keep program supplies and site resources stocked and ready
Supporting and Leading Career Coaches
- Work alongside and support the Career Coaches serving the central-north cohort, and help lead their work across sites
- Help onboard coaches and guide them in their roles day to day
- Offer real-time feedback and problem-solving support
- Check that content delivery and coaching stay consistent and high-quality across sites
- Flag coach needs, gaps, or concerns to the Lead Coordinator and Director early
Student and Employer Support
- Support students through the program stages, from sector exploration to placement
- Help coordinate employer visits, job shadows, interviews, and placement activities
- Support internship logistics and worksite placements
Data, Documentation, and Compliance
- Keep accurate records of attendance, participation, and student progress across sites
- Complete required paperwork for internships, worksite agreements, and payroll on time
- Document student support needs and incidents through the proper channels
- Help make sure all student and employer materials meet Achieve Miami's standards before they go out
Collaboration and Communication
- Report to the Director of Career Pathways and coordinate closely with the Lead Coordinator
- Attend team meetings, training, and planning sessions
- Communicate early and often about site needs, coach concerns, and student updates
- Represent Achieve Works positively to school staff, students, families, and employer partners
- Seek and apply feedback to strengthen the program
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation for site coverage
- MDCPS and DCF background clearance
- Background check required
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to keep many moving parts on track
- Experience coordinating programs or supporting staff, ideally in schools, nonprofits, or youth or workforce programs
- Comfortable guiding and supporting other staff
- Strong communicator who shares updates early and anticipates needs
- Comfortable working in schools and building relationships with students, staff, and partners
- Commitment to Achieve Miami's mission and to the success of the program
Strongly Preferred
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience with career, workforce, or CTE programs
- Familiarity with the central-north area schools
Time Commitment and Compensation
Pay Rate: $26 per hour
Weekly Hours: Up to 10 hours a week
Term: School year, approximately 36 weeks
Schedule: Usually 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays across the cohort schools, with occasional evening and weekend events. Schedule includes travel time between sites.
