Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between patients and the dental team, providing exceptional customer service and clear explanations of treatment options.
- Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinating with both patients and clinical staff to optimize daily workflow.
- Verify patient insurance coverage, process claims, and explain financial responsibilities transparently.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as updating patient records, preparing treatment estimates, and following up on outstanding payments or insurance claims.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably within a dental or healthcare environment.
- Strong knowledge of health regulation policies and medical administrative support procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR) systems for managing patient data efficiently.
- Excellent understanding of health insurance processes, including claims submission and benefits explanation.
- Solid grasp of medical terminology relevant to dental care to facilitate accurate communication.
- Office experience demonstrating organizational skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
- Prior dental office experience is highly desirable to quickly adapt to the specific workflows involved in dental treatments.
