Purpose of Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and reliable operation of the network infrastructure and associated server systems across all imi companies. Additionally, they will provide company-wide support and management for core networking components and server applications.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, configure, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including routers, firewalls, load balancers, and managed switches.
- Install, configure, and manage virtual and physical server operating systems (Windows Server).
- Administer network services, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and VPN.
- Monitor system performance and network traffic to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Perform routine system backups, disaster recovery planning, and implement security measures.
- Assist in the planning and execution of major modifications and upgrades to the core networking and server environment.
- Provide advanced-level support and guidance to IT personnel on complex network and server issues.
- Document network architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the security team to enforce and facilitate corporate security policies, including identity and access management (IAM) protocols.
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments.
- All other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in network administration or system administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Solid expertise in TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, and network security principles.
- Proven experience with virtualization technologies (VMware).
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Continually work towards learning new IT-related skills to stay current with technology by attending training, conferences, learning from others, and self-study.
